Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Socket Health LLC for using the Elite Edge app. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who may use Elite Edge

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 17, you may only use the app with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf. We may ask for proof of age and may suspend or delete accounts that we reasonably believe belong to someone under 13.

Coaches must be adults. By creating a team as a coach you confirm you are 18 or older and that you are responsible for the conduct of your team's chat.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything that happens under your account. Use your real name or a display name your teammates will recognize. One person, one account. Tell us at info@socket.health if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Not medical advice

Elite Edge provides general fitness, recovery and mindset content for youth athletes. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, athletic trainer, physical therapist or coach. The readiness score, recovery statuses and body map are tools for tracking how you feel; they are not a diagnosis. If you have pain, an injury, or any health concern, stop and see a medical professional. Do not rely on the app to decide whether it is safe to train through pain.

You use the app's training suggestions at your own risk and should adjust them to your own ability, your coach's instructions and your doctor's advice.

4. Community rules and zero tolerance

Team chat and direct messages exist so athletes and their coach can communicate about training. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post, send or share anything that:

• harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone
• is hateful, discriminatory or demeaning toward any person or group
• is sexual, sexually suggestive or requests sexual content from anyone
• shows or promotes violence, self-harm, disordered eating, or weight-cutting
• promotes alcohol, tobacco, vaping, drugs or performance-enhancing substances
• is spam, advertising or recruiting solicitation
• shares another person's private information without permission
• impersonates another person, or is illegal for any reason

Messages pass through an automated filter, but the filter is not a guarantee, and you are responsible for what you send.

Reporting. Long-press any message to report it. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Blocking. You can block any user from the roster. Blocked users cannot message you. Enforcement. We may remove content, remove a user from a team, suspend an account or delete an account, with or without notice, for any violation. Coaches may remove messages and members from their own team at any time.

5. Your content

You own what you post: messages, notes, and photos. You give us a license to store, display and transmit that content within the app so that the app works (for example, so your teammates see your message). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups, which are removed within 30 days.

You confirm you have the right to post anything you post, including any photo of another person.

6. Our content

The app, its design, characters, text, sounds, training content, scoring system and code are owned by Socket Health LLC or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. You may use them only inside the app for your own training. You may not copy, sell, scrape, reverse engineer or build a competing product from them.

7. Edge Points, ranks and badges

EP, ranks, streaks and badges are features of the app with no cash value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred or redeemed. We may change how they are earned or reset them if we find they were earned by cheating or through a bug.

8. Price

Version 1.0 of Elite Edge is free. If we add paid plans in the future, they will be offered through Apple's in-app purchase system with clear pricing, and Apple's terms for purchases, renewals and refunds will apply. We will not charge you for anything without your clear consent inside the app.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. This is permanent.

We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the app. If we stop offering the app we will give reasonable notice so you can export your information by emailing info@socket.health.

10. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it working and accurate but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or right for your particular situation. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Socket Health LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any injury arising from training decisions you make using the app. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 50 US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will show a notice in the app and update the date above. Continuing to use the app after the change means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.

14. Apple

These terms are between you and Socket Health LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
